I have had one crazy weekend. Actually, the past two days have been really really crazy. let me tell you the story...
Once upon a time, actually sunday evening, my baby sister and i (okay, shes 13 but she still is like my baby sister), we decided to go see my aunt in sebring. we needed to give her and her husband their christmas presents. so we set off in our mother's beige cavalier "Gussy". Gussy was thirsty. I made an executive decision that we would give Gussy a drink after coming home. We were traveling down the road, Beeson to be exact. Just me and Kaley and Gussy. Oh yea, Aurore was buckled up in the back seat too. We drove down Beeson and followed it into "Ghetto" Alliance. Then, and what to our wondering eyes should appear, but a train. Yikes! I realized that I would have to stop Gussy and wait, in the Ghetto of Alliance, for the entire train to pass. So, to avoid getting capped, I turned the car swiftly around and followed a "shortcut'' that I have seen my dad take lots of times. The only problem was that I didnt really know how to get back to the road we were suppossed to be on. I ended up taking a whole bunch of wrong turns while Kaley is saying "if you just take a left, we'll be back in Alliance". I thought that I knew what I was doing. Haha, thought is the key word. Well, needless to say, Kaley and I and Gussy ended up going to Starlite Roller Rink instead of Sebring. Then I had to turn around. After going back into town, we went back on our merry way to Sebring.
After getting to Sebring, I realized that I wasn't completely sure where my aunt and uncle lived. Haha. I drove to the road where I thought that I remembered that she lived on. Then I saw a house that kinda resembled hers. Now, you have to remember that this was like, 7:35 and Kaley and I and Gussy and Aurore started this adventure at like, 7:00! I pulled into the shared driveway and looked around. There was a deck on the back on the house (that hadn't been there before). I looked around and didnt really recognize a thing. Kaley and I looked at each other. Then, we realized that the door to the house wasn't in the right spot! We were at the wrong house. I put Gussy in reverse and we got out of there as fast as possible. We decided that we were going to go to a gas station (because now Gussy had drank up a fourth of a tank and was almost on E) and we were going to ask for a phone book so we could look up the address. I found a little (and i mean little, it only had ONE (1) pump!!!) and i went in and prepaid for my gas. Then I asked for the phone book. The guy at the counter looked at me like I was an idiot. I kinda felt like an idiot too. After looking up her address, we went out and pumped out gas. Then, we tried to find Auntie Mel's house. We went to the street, and turned. Go ahead and take a guess, yepp, you got it, the house that we were already at? Yepp, that was my aunts house. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
We got out of the car and looked at the clock. 7:45. It took us over 45 minutes to get to Sebring. Normally it takes about 12-15. After going in and hugging everyone, Kj and I realize that we forgot the gifts. Needless to say, last night was a very interesting night.
Today, I went to church in the morning. Then I came home and made plans with the Kj and Tamara. We all decided to go to a movie. We wanted to see Alvin and the chipmunks. We all settled on the 4 o'clock movie. I picked up Tamara at 3:30 and we went to theater. There was no where to park and i kept hitting pot holes in the road. After driving around the mall and ending up parking at Goody's, we go in and all of the good movies were sold out. So we decided to wait in line and buy the tickets for the 7 o'clock show and jsut come back home and hang out. We made a frozen pizza and we just chilled playing the sims 2 and guitar hero. Then we went back and saw the movie. It was absolutely ah-door-ah-bluh!!!
I have had a really long day. I need to go and get some sleep now. I have to wake up early in the A.M. and do some stats crap with Miss Ruby. Eww... Gag me with a Spoon.

I AM A PROCRASTINATOR
I am in the process of applying to college. It totally sucks. I probably should have had it all done by now but, you all have a right to know. I AM A PROCRASTINATOR. I know, you probably never would have guessed but... yea. I have just pushed the submit button to Ashland. It felt pretty darn good. Yesterday, i mailed all of my transcripts and i even mailed the rest of my rotary stuff. Now, i get to wait to hear about college and where i get to go in the world next year. Scary stuff.
I really should finish hitting the submit button on all the other ones but...
Here is one of my "personal statements". That's just a really fancy term for essay lol.
To live abroad in a foreign country is a dream of mine that I want to fulfill sometime relatively soon. I love learning about new cultures and new people. If I had the opportunity to live in a foreign country, I would choose to stay in France.
At my high school, my French teacher is one of people who I can go to and talk to about anything. She has such a passion for what she does and she exudes that when she teaches. She is a teacher who really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is my inspiration of what I want to be in life. She has truly inspired me to want to go into French. When I traveled to France earlier this year with her, I saw an amazing country with amazing people. I want to be able to experience being a part of that culture.
I want the opportunity to be able to “be” French. I want to eat baguettes and cheese for lunch while picnicking. I want to be able to take a stroll in the park while everyone around me is chattering in French. I want to establish contacts and make friends that I will have for the rest of my life. By living in France, I would improve my spoken French dramatically. Also, I would get the chance to find out more about myself. Also, I would become more understanding and accepting of different people and cultures. By living in France, I would do things that I never thought could ever happen. I want those things. I want to live in France.
Yepp. I know that it is kinda cheesy. But it really did come from the heart. I think i am going to go and push the submit button now. yay!

Let's Start at the very beginning
Today I decided to embark on a new adventure. I decided to start this blog. I am not really sure how this is going to play out, but I just knew that I needed to do this. I was inspired by my friend Abigail, who is an exchange student now, to get this. It is just so much fun to read Abby's blog and see how she is doing in Russia. I want to start blogging now to get in the habit of doing it so that when i go overseas next year, I will actually blog there.
(In this section i had a kinda dumb little paragraph about me. then i saw that there was an about me section. lol)
My favortite thing in the world is french. It's what I do. I have to go get ready for a party now but maybe I will figure out how to do something special with my blog :)
